Sanctuary Lofts

Neighborhood Lending Partners provided rehabilitation funding and permanent financing under our Economic Development Program, for a 32 unit loft apartment building. The property is located in an urban residential neighborhood, part of a major renovation project sponsored by the City of Tampa. The borrower also received historic tax credits and real estate tax abatements for 10 years. The building, originally a church, was constructed in 1910. The renovation restored much of the wood details, original leaded and steel stained glass windows, and orange brick.

As a result of the outstanding design and renovation, Sanctuary lofts received the Hillsborough County's most prestigious design award, the Jan Abell Award for Historic Preservation and Community Development, and the Florida Preservation Award.
